The Greatship Group started life in 2006 with an initial purchase of two Norwegian-built mid-size platform supply vessels. Since then the group has grown rapidly and currently owns a fleet of 4 jack-up rigs and about 19 offshore support vessels, representing a combined investment of more than a billion dollars to date.

The successful drilling campaigns executed by our drilling rigs, with practically nil breakdown, have created a strong, positive impression of our drilling services with our existing clients. Our modern, DP boats, manned by our competent crew and backed by capable shore operations, have created a base of satisfied clientele; whether oil majors, IOCs or NOCs. The versatile specifications of these units have been utilised to carry out a wide range of operations such as straight supply and anchor handling, well stimulation, ROV support and subsea work.

While it has grown in size, the group has also expanded its reach across the world. Over the years, Greatship has created a footprint in the western markets of Brazil, Mexico and North Sea, served clients on the African continent, and build strong positions in the eastern hemisphere with work carried out in the Middle East, India, East Asia and Australia. The company has offices in India and Singapore and employs multiple nationalities, be it on shore or offshore.

The Greatship Group traces its lineage to the Great Eastern Shipping Company, a veritable institution in the global shipping industry with a presence stretching back to 1948. As such the Greatship Group combines the vitality and ambition of its young organisation with the wisdom and fine maritime lineage derived from its parent.
