At The Greatship Group, safety takes precedence and is followed and implemented strictly and religiously. The term “safety” does not only entail safety of life and cargo but also encompasses protection of the environment.

To accomplish this, Greatship has developed comprehensive training and mentoring programs to complement our innovative safety tools and processes which our dedicated team uses to bring all the HSE elements together. After all, we recognize that an incident-free workplace does not come through a focus solely on safety, but from all the elements of HSE and most importantly from our people.

All activities related to the operation and management of vessels and rigs engaged in offshore services are certified for Environment Management system (ISO 14001:2004) and occupational Health and Safety Management system (OHSAS 18001:2007). The group companies are already certified for Quality Management System (IS09001:2008) and ISM.

We try to minimize environmental impact at every stage of operations, and each day in between. We take the responsibility towards environment very seriously and work with client and other respective stakeholders to minimize the environmental footprint viz., Waste minimization, segregation & Disposal, Spillage prevention of chemicals and oil during operations.We continuously strive to build and excel in developing culture which is environmentally conscious.

With utmost consideration to ensure safety at sea, prevention of human injury or loss of life, and avoidance of damage to environment, in particular to the marine environment and to property, the company dedicates itself to meet the expectations of its customers and the aspirations of its stakeholders by ensuring that effective Quality, Occupational Health, Safety and Environment Management Systems are in place that comply with the mandatory rules and regulations, and take into account applicable codes, guidelines and standards recommended by the organization, administrations, classification societies and maritime industry organizations.

In line with our strategy to be a market leader and a preferred safe service provider, we shall monitor and ensure the effectiveness and continual improvement of our systems, leading to excellence.

With our firm belief in team success, we shall achieve our objectives by:

  • Providing safe practices in ship and rig operations and safe working environment.
  • Assessing all identified risks to rigs, ships, personnel and the environment and by establishing appropriate safeguards.
  • Continuously improving safety management skills of personnel ashore and aboard ships & rigs, including preparing for emergencies related both to safety and environmental protection.
  • Providing training and adequate resources to a highly motivated and an empowered workforce with due regard to their health and safety.

This policy shall be implemented and maintained at all levels of the organizations-ship-based, rig-based & shore-based.
